The art of Kokedama
Kokedama (literally "moss ball") is a traditional Japanese art form where a plant's root system is encased in a soil ball, covered with moss, and secured with string. Known as "poor man's bonsai" or Japanese moss balls, they are displayed on plates or suspended, representing the wabi-sabi philosophy of finding beauty in imperfection.
At Growing Crazy, we take great pride in keeping the art alive by hand-making all of the Kokedama in our shop. They come in a myriad of sizes and species, often displayed on our gorgeus selection of trays. We also make them to-order upon request.
