A story about our roots

Utilizing years of knowledge and skills gained from working at other nurseries, Criztill set out with the intention of opening her own plant shop and supplying the PNW with rare varieties of plants from around the world. What started as a small dream quickly blossomed into a brick and mortar shop that supplies the greater Seattle area with a collection of common, rare and highly sought after house plants. Not only is Criztill educated in all things botanical, she is also a highly driven individual who focuses on the down to earth aspect of operating a small business. She believes in real conversations, real assistance and real results. Today, Growing Crazy sits as a testament to her idea of making the world a little bit greener, one plant at a time.

Criztill's Vision
Al

The team

Al has been an avid collector of plants since he was a child. His grandmother, a master gardener and his grandfather, a farmer by trade, instilled in him a passion for life and tending to things big and small.

After his time in the military came to an end in 2020, Al had the opportunity to work with a close friend at his plant shop and take an even deeper dive into an already obsessive interest.

In 2024, his journey landed him at Growing Crazy where he became the general manager of the shop. Today, he handles customer interactions, curation of rare houseplants and tissue cultures, educational workshops, social media and more. If you ever reach out to us, there's a good chance he's on the other side of the phone or screen, assisting you!

Travis

Before Growing Crazy, Travis worked at a machine shop for five years and at an assemply shop for three years before that. Feeling burnt out and tired of doing something that he had no passion for, he decided to make a change.

His sister Criztill, offered him an opportunity to assist her at her shop which Travis happily accepted. Initially a newbie to plants, Travis quickly discovered a love for greenery as he handled the watering, trimming and clean up routines for everything at Growing Crazy.

With that newfound passion, Travis has devoted himself to tending to every plant that comes into the shop as well as educating himself on all of their needs across many different species. He is the heart of the shop and the reason why everything here looks as beautiful as it does!
